Naming your blog

Selecting a title for a blog is one of the most difficult early obstacles at the beginning of a blog. It is a pain that is perceived by many authors over and over again, but deciding if an article or service title is nothing compared to an all-inclusive blog title. Let me assure you that naming your blog is not impossible. In fact, if you already know, what you want to write is fairly simple. When it comes to naming your blog, most of the problem of self censoring. If you step back and take a look at your blog the General subject, is a title really just a collection of words that define a topic.

What is your topic?

"I don't really have one," you could say. Not to over simplify, but this can be solved by asking yourself two questions. What do you know? What are you passionate about? It is so easy.

The bottom line is that everyone has knowledge that can benefit others. If you have a Ph.d. or never graduated high school, it is bound to be something that you have unique insight or perspective. Maybe you can TOILET train pets, or if you are a trained getaway driver. is there anything that you can write on. Don't forget that a lack of knowledge can also make for an outstanding blog. A blog about learning to work on cars would likely be of great curiosity to many people.

There are also a lot of Blogs about things that people are passionate about. In fact, tends to lead to some passions of the most active blogs. There are for example style Blogs, car blogs, tech blogs, and anything between. Think about your interests. Are you up before dawn and on the Lake? You enjoy working with your kit car in the garage every weekend? Perhaps you crochet constantly? What you want to do is normal things you would have to write on.

Based on your chosen topic, what to name your blog?

Now that you know what you want to write about, is the rest of the process simple. When it comes to naming your blog, you should choose a name that is relevant to the topic, but is not too vague. In General, shorter and more unique your chosen name it changed, but this is not always the case. For example, a blog about constructing a kit car in your garage is called simply "blog on the car." Is it relevant? Yes. Is the best title? Could not really stand to be more unique. Something like "Joe's Weekend Kit car factory" would be better.

What do other people?

When you have a handful of future titles are for others what they think. If you use Facebook might try polling your friends list, or you can just do it the old-fashioned way. You can find out to family and friends really prefer a title that you were uncertain, but hated your favorite name. In addition, use a tool to check for free domains. Whether you buy your own domain and Web hosting company or you plan to use a free service, most places have some type of utility to do this. There is nothing more painful than to find the perfect title only to discover that the name is already taken.

You have it, three steps to the perfect name: choose a theme, define the subject and poll the audience. When you use these three steps to creating a title, do not seem so complex it take? Remember, a good name is one of the best assets your future blog may possess.
