The use of Podcasting to authority to get for your business-Part One

Podcasts are perhaps one of the most under rated tools you can use to help with promoting your company. In part i of this article I will walk you through exactly what a podcast is and why it is something that you should use for your company.

It is clear these days that with the continuing advances in technology that we see, the ability to record and produce a podcast is now a fairly simplistic task. You should certainly not radio station or studio-quality recording equipment to produce a good quality podcast for your audience.

But why is it in the first place?

What Is a Podcast?

Well, lets start by watching exactly what a podcast is. To put it in its simplest terms, a podcast is essentially an audio clip (or audio file) that can be placed anywhere often (referred to as embedded) on your website and potentially can be listened to by anyone who visits your site.

Podcasting first became popular in 2005 with the launch of iTunes. If the most recent statistics are to be believed, and given current trends in the sales of portable media devices, will as much as 275 million people around the world a portable media player itself through the year 2011.

This fact alone clearly shows the popularity of listening in motion, or at least listen when it comes out.

So why is this important?

Well, for prospects or customers who are interested in the audio you've produced, it can also be downloaded to an mp3 media device or to a computer. In addition, there is also the possibility that people subscribe to your podcasts, and as shown in part two of this article you will see, this is something that huge potential for success and opportunities for your company can provide.

So one important reason why podcasts such potential benefits for your company offer is by downloading it, your listener your podcast at an appropriate time to digest them.

This is an important distinction, because it fits perfectly within the new framework of ' permission marketing ' which I've mentioned in previous articles. If you have a media (such as podcasting) can use that your target group uses and is comfortable with, you have the option to get your message across more effectively.

That choice Is so important

Having a choice of how and when to see or hear your company message is perfectly in keeping with the way that your potential customers their life today. It can also carry more weight and efficiency, if you do not have your company message in the throat of every poor, unsuspecting person who walks through his Rams.

This is one of the reasons why podcasts are so popular as they are. We all have so little time on our hands these days and we are bombarded with literally hundreds upon hundreds of marketing messages every day. But with a podcast, can be downloaded and listened to at home, at work, on the train, on the tube, in fact anywhere.

And by producing podcasts your company will be perceived as different. This is also very important, and something that I in part two of this article will deal with.
